Kuebler Shoe Store was founded in 1832 when Joseph Kuebler, along with his wife and two sons, came to Tiffin from Baden-Baden Germany. With an inherited ability to create quality footwear, and the will to succeed, Joseph Kuebler built a successful business. Through five generations of the Kuebler family, the business became known all over Ohio for its commitment to quality shoes at popular prices.
In 1985 John Kuebler, the fifth generation owner, retired and sold the business to his long time employee, Joseph Obringer. Mr. Kuebler was very instrumental in shaping my fashion sense and, more importantly, my ability to recognize the quality of certain components in each shoe, which enhances the fit characteristics of that footwear.
