At 10,500 feet, Oleo Guest Ranch offers rustic Colorado vacation cabin rentals. The mountain cabins are located in a remote part of southwest Colorado (between Creede and Lake City) and are surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery the Rocky Mountains have to offer. Each secluded mountain cabin offers privacy and breathtaking views with comfortable accommodations.

The remote and secluded cabins are all built overlooking a beautiful valley. The ranch's water is drawn directly out of the mountain the cabins are built upon. Propane gas runs appliances, lights and heats water for the kitchens and bathrooms. Electricity is neither needed nor available, and we do enforce a no generator policy.

Cabins
Report
For Reservations, email info@oleoranch.com. There are seven beautiful, rustic log cabins, which are spaced out on the property so that each has its own definite privacy. Furnished with sturdy hand-made furniture, each individual cabin is designed to provide maximum comfort in a wilderness setting. Even in July and August the days may be warm but nights are cool.
Fishing
Report
Five stocked ponds and 1- miles of running stream on the property provide a private fishery for our guests. For the adventurer, Dan's Fly Shop in Lake City has guided trips available. Guided float trips can be booked through Duranglers in Durango. We promote catch and release, but keeping enough for a great meal while at Oleo is a treat!
Hiking
Report
Right behind your cabin is the old stagecoach road from the late 1800's, a close and peaceful walk with the chance of seeing abundant wildlife. Miles and miles of local trails encourage all levels to get out on the mountain. If you see a hiker at the Spring Creek Pass campground chances are they have been on the Colorado Trail.
Sightseeing
Report
Numerous lakes, falls, old mining towns, and high mountain peaks are in a close proximity to Oleo Ranch. Most can be reached in a 2-wheel drive vehicle. Four wheel drive vehicles take your experience to the next level with hundreds of miles of roads available. A popular day trio is the Alpine Loop, which goes from Lake City to Silverton to Ouray, and back to Lake City.
Trail Riding
Report
Your horse is welcome here if she or he is healthy and well mannered. No stallions or mare/foal pairs. Horses from out of state must have proof of a negative Coggins and a Health Certificate within the last six months. Remember that we have other guests here, some of whom are small children, some of whom sometimes find their way down to the corrals without parental supervision.
