Our curriculum is based on the Russian Vaganova method, offering classes for all ages and experience levels! Pre-Ballet 1 (ages 4 to 5: pink leotard): These classes consist of introduction to dance and the coordinated movements involved with music. Children will learn basic ballet positions. Students may take more than one class per week.
Adult Ballet

Adult Beginner: These are an introduction for individuals that would like to experience classical ballet in a classroom environment for the first time. Students are introduced to terminology, positions, barre work, and stretching, culminating in center exercises to strengthen core muscles. Tuesdays from 6:30pm - 7:45pm, and Saturdays from noon - 1:15pm.

The Spring Semester saw much success at Brevard Ballet Academy with summer intensive acceptance letters from the nation's top ballet schools filling our parent's in-boxes. Our students received acceptance to the Kirov Academy of Washington, the Harid Conservatory, Bolshoi Ballet-NYC, Boston Ballet, Orlando Ballet, and Houston Ballet.

Since Brevard Ballet Academy (BBA) opened in 2014 our Academy Director has insisted that giving back to the community was going to be a staple of our school's success. In 2018, BBA joined hands with our associate company, Brevard Ballet Youth Company (BBYC) to accomplish this mission. We now have partnerships with nonprofits Candlelighters of Brevard, Promise in Brevard, and Nana's house.
