It was back in 1988 that Tom MacKay, with a little push from a good friend, started Audio-visual Consultations. The original idea for the company was simple, help people set up their sound and video systems to be the best they could be.

There wasn't any pressure for people to buy products, they didn't have to leave their homes to talk to some salesperson, Tom came right to them, there was no advertising or gimmicks of any kind - if somebody wanted to talk about their home they called.It seemed to be a rather novel approach to the high-end electronics market - it still is.

Tom, as I sit here having to deal with non stop issues on this house, yet again, it's not lost on me how responsive, helpful and professional you and your team were. It was ONE part of the entire build that went almost completely as planned, if not better. How are you? Just wanted to pass on that we are very very pleased with the outcome from everything that was installed yesterday.

Always a lover of custom audio systems, and truly not made out for the corporate world, Tom found the ultimate escape was the toys he had been playing with since he was a kid (though most of us think he has yet to grow up). With more than 3800 system designs under his belt, he truly is one of the leaders in the field.
