Dr. Augustus has over 20 years of experience in adult psychiatry and 18 years in private practice. Upon completing her bachelor's degree in microbiology at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, she completed medical school at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, LA, and residency at LSU-MC in New Orleans, LA, in 1996.
Transcranial magnetic stimulation - also known as TMS - is an FDA-approved, non-invasive, and non-medication treatment for depression. No longer do you have to accept an incomplete response to medication or intolerable side effects such as weight gain, loss of libido, constipation, fatigue or the many others.
All new patients are allotted a one-hour evaluation. To help prevent this loss of time in the case of missed appointments, we require a $100.00 deposit in order to schedule and hold a new patient's appointment. Upon arrival at the new patient's appointment, the deposit will apply towards the visit charge and any remaining balance will be collected at that time.
