Julia Lee Performing Arts Academy is a tuition-free, public school. As a charter school, we have the flexibility to be more innovative while still being held accountable for student achievement. Our goal is to develop students academically, artistically, and socially with a curriculum that integrates both the performing arts and college-preparatory academics.

Our founder, Tanya Lee-Taylor was inspired by her great aunt's (Julia Lee) musical success and her own desire to combine top-quality education with the arts. With the lead of our highly experienced principal, our caring staff is committed to providing a program that encourages student success.

Julia Lee Performing Arts Academy is a public school that provides instruction in a combination of grades (kindergarten through sixth grade). We follow the California Common Core State Standards (CA CCSS), CA Standards for History-Social Science, and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) in its core curricula.

Yes, all charter schools are public schools. Julia Lee Performing Arts Academy, is the first performing charter school here in Lake Elsinore, CA. The children will have the opportunity to learn: dancing, signing, music instruments, and theater arts. We are like other charter schools, a self-managed public school that is approved - or chartered - by a local school district.
