Empowering Wichita's Youth Through Baseball & Education
Founded in 2013, League 42 was established to provide accessible and affordable youth baseball opportunities for Wichita's urban communities. Recognizing the financial barriers that often prevent participation in organized sports, we introduced a $30 registration fee that covers uniforms, equipment, and essential gear. Over the past decade, we've grown from 16 teams to 46 teams, serving over 600 children annually at historic McAdams Park. Our facilities have expanded through strategic partnerships, including the addition of the Fidelity Bank Field and Leslie Rudd Learning Center, which houses educational programs like Bright Lights and Bats and Badges. Guided by Jackie Robinson's legacy of perseverance and inclusion, we combine athletic development with academic support through volunteer coaches, university partnerships, and community programs.

Our volunteer-driven model relies on donations and corporate sponsorships to maintain affordability while fostering personal growth and community engagement. The 2024 replacement of our stolen Jackie Robinson statue, supported by Major League Baseball, reaffirmed our commitment to honoring his values of integrity and opportunity. With fields serving as a training ground for future athletes and leaders, we continue expanding our impact through innovative programs that address both athletic and educational needs in Wichita's youth.
