Our goal is to enhance the appreciation of music in our community and offer experiences and education that meet the needs of our customers. Idaho Music Academy has functioned as a registered business in the city of Boise since 2004 and provides private and group teaching of piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, trumpet, drums, voice, music theory, composition and general music appreciation for all ages, from preschool through adult.
Summer music camps are available as well as recital facilities. Hours of operation are Monday - Sunday according to personalized class schedules. All of our teachers are experienced and qualified educators with the desire to share their talent and passion for their instrument. The Idaho Music Academy offers a variety of music and art lessons for Boise and the Treasure Valley community. Each instrument shown below has one or more fantastic teacher for you to choose from. We want to make learning the art of music a fun and fulfilling experience while we help you excel. While we are a music academy we are also expanding into art classes!

Taggert Lewis has 10 years of private teaching experience and holds a Bachelor's Degree from Boise State University in Music Education. He has taught music for 6 years in public schools. He also has his level I and level II Orff certifications. He has done clinics with marching bands, beginning bands, orchestra and even had the opportunity to coach a SiNEM orchestra in Acosta, Costa Rica.

Jennifer Fife has been teaching private violin and viola lessons for 17 years and has made Idaho Music Academy home to her studio since it opened in 2004.
She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance and has worked with artists such as Jim Cockey, Josh Groban, and Moody Blues, and has performed for The Producers, Gianni Schicci, Madame Butterfly, Our Town, La Fille du Regiment, Annie Get Your Gun, the Wizard of Oz, Guys and Dolls, Bye Bye Birdie, Brigadoon, and many more.
