Decided to rent our personal watercraft well ahead of our visit to Lake of the Ozarks & found The Getaway by a simple Google search. Upon arrival, found the Waverunners to be kept in great mechanical order, found the staff to be very friendly & had an amazing time out on the water (although the water was super-choppy due to all of the boats on the lake over the labor day weekend). Would definitely rent from them again!

Josh and his team provided a fun and affordable experience. We roared around the lake for two hours and didnt encounter any issues with the wave runners. Some other places greatly restrict how far you can take the Jet Ski rentals, but the Getaway gives you a very good range in which to operate. You can sign all the waivers and pay deposit online when choosing your reservation date and time. Would repeat the outing in a heartbeat and were considering taking out one of their brand new pontoon boats with 200 HP Mercury!

Great experience renting from The Getaway! The pontoon we rented was in great condition and pretty much brand new. Very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were even nice enough to give us a ride over to Backwater Jacks after we dropped the boat off.

Do NOT rent from here. The equipment is VERY worn out and basically does NOT work properly. The staff is happy to take your money but does NOT care if you get to use even 5 minutes of your time. We were told basically NOT to use the equipment, pay for two hours of rental time and leave them a tip. We talked to several of the people who worked there to try and resolve the issues but no one cared. Everyone there was well aware this was a milestone birthday celebration for me, just didnt care about us at all.

BE CAREFUL.... Great day on the water but be careful. Even though a price was quoted over the phone the final charge was $50 more. Their claim was that our flyer was old prices even though the pric was confirmed over the phone. In addition be aware that gas is not included. There will be a charge to fill up your tank when you return. A $175 four hour rental turned into a $250 four hour rental. We didn't use the online portal, we called to reserve and was given the price over the phone. So the owners claim of current prices are on the web is true however, we didn't use the web to book and the
