Whether you aspire to play classic or pop, Tacoma Music Academy's dedicated piano instructors will help you become the pianist you want to be. Our faculty will introduce you to the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, and incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons. You do not need a piano at home to take lessons; a simple full-size electronic keyboard will suffice for the first 6-12 months.
Suitable for any age, whether you're playing in local bands, a seven year old taking their first lesson, or a fifty year old returning to the piano after many years, our teachers will share their love for music and help you set goals to achieve your musical aspirations. Learning in a group has many benefits: it provides confidence in playing for others and aids students in developing rhythm skills.

Report
Christina brought her daughter Cara, 13, who was begging for piano lessons, to check out Tacoma Music Academy after seeing one of our reduced tuition program flyers in town. Two other siblings, Xavier and Lyla, came along while two other little ones were at home with their hard working dad, the only provider for the family of 7, 8, or 9, depending on how many foster children they also had at the time.
