My name is Kyndra Soto and I live in Greeley, Colorado with my family. I teach music in my home studio and K through 5th-grade music at Monroe Elementary School in Loveland, Colorado. One of my passions is teaching students with affective needs because both of my sons have learning difficulties. My oldest son was diagnosed with autism and ADHD at the age of three and my youngest son has struggled since preschool with vision problems and dyslexia.
As I learned about how my boys' brains were different from typical learners, I began to see the therapeutic power that music has over our brains and our bodies. Without even knowing it, I was giving them therapy from the day they were born through singing and rhythm! I witnessed, first hand, how music creates connections in the brain that strengthen learning in almost every other aspect of life.
