Oklahoma Wildlife Management Association
The OWMA was organized to serve as an advocate for the benefit of wildlife and for the rights of wildlife managers, landowners, and hunters in educational, scientific, regulatory, legal, and legislative arenas. The Oklahoma Wildlife Management Association (OWMA) is a non-profit organization formed in 2007.

Our mission is to help conserve Oklahoma's wildlife and resources by supporting common sense legislation and conservation that ensures the future of wildlife and wildlife recreation on private and public land. OWMA is the voice for outdoorsmen and women, landowners and managers who love and care for the land; we make sure their rights are not ignored.

About Us
Report
The OWMA was organized to serve as an advocate for the benefit of wildlife and for the rights of wildlife managers, landowners, and hunters. We saw the significant role the Texas equivalent played in protecting hunting so we formed the Oklahoma Wildlife Management Association in 2007 following their model.
Events
Report
The OWMA puts on their own youth hunts in association with our members during turkey season and deer season to promote hunting amongst the youth of Oklahoma. Along with our own hunts, some of our members feel so passionate about teaching our kids about hunting and the value it caries that they help us find ways to participate in other organizations youth programs.
Wild Game Legislators Reception
Report
This event includes our annual meeting, election of officers, and guest speaker(s). A well known caterer from southern Oklahoma will have a buffet of unique dishes prepared from wild game. All State Senators and Representatives as well as U.S. Senators and Representatives are invited to attend.

The evening is intended to be a time to thank our representation in Oklahoma and Washington and that we appreciate their service and for listening to our concerns.
Membership
Report
All of our members have different stories, different backgrounds and different reasons for joining, but we all share one purpose. I joined to promote the hunting heritage of Oklahomans, as well as to promote private land owner rights within our state. I think it is important to be proactive in these causes especially as we are drastically becoming more urbanized with each passing year.
