The Staump Music School was founded by Tim Staump, a professional drummer, outspoken advocate and crusader for music education in San Diego County. Since opening our doors in 2008, we have become known for our holistic approach to musical education, one that builds on foundations and fundamentals, going beyond weekly lessons to provide our students with mentorship and professional experiences seldom offered in a school setting.

Your child will learn the fundamentals of guitar, drums, piano, and singing as they work together to prepare for a rock concert.

Our Rock Class program is a performance-focused class with consistent and structured rehearsal time with a band. Every student is given the opportunity to work with other students and perform live. Our Rock Classes have performed at places like the Whisky A Go Go, House of Blues, Lestat's West, San Diego County Fair, CW News, and various street and music festivals.
