A physical is performed to determine if there is a need for a Colonoscopy. Colonoscopy is an examination of the inner lining of the large intestine (rectum or colon). It is performed by using a thin, flexible fiber-optic instrument to examine the colon. The colonoscope helps the doctor locate any ulcers, colon polyps, tumors, inflammation and/or bleeding.

Regular Physical: Each doctor's physical is slightly different, however, all include an eye exam, hearing exam, measurements, & exam of the body. Please check with your insurance prior to visit for copayment amount, what is covered (some insurances do not cover eye or hearing exams) & the number allowed per year (ask if you have already used your visit(s) for the time period).
Padres Medical Imaging

Inside Apex Medical Group in Los Banos, we now offer Padres Medical Imaging services. It is now very convenient to have imaging done once you have seen your primary care physician at Apex Medical Group. Padres is located in the same building, so you don't have to travel or go find another imaging center.
