Safe-T-Sweep
Safe-T-Sweep, Inc got its start in 1980. My father and mother were looking for an additional source of income. My father tells me that teachers were only making about $6,000 a year when he first started. He would do a couple of jobs after school and all day Saturday. My brother K.C. and I would distribute flyers in the neighborhoods where we were working.

Back then we used to charge by the story, I think a one story house went for $30.00. Since that time we have purchased two other chimney sweep companies. One sweep was going into the missionary field and the other was concerned about the potential for cancer from always working around creosote. My parents were one of the few husband and wife companies in the industry, and yes, my mom did clean chimneys.

Chimney Cleaning
Report
Chimney Cleaning Along with annual inspections, regular chimney cleaning is among the most important things you can do to protect your family and your home from chimney fires. A warm crackling fire is the perfect centerpiece to a family gathering or even just a quiet evening with your loved ones.

Every fireplace or furnace has its own exhaust system, called a flue, which ensures that all the products of combustion are safely vented out of your house. But overtime, the soot and creosote can build up inside your chimney's flue system. These materials are essentially enriched fuel similar to charcoal or coke.
Relining Chimney Flues
Report
If you've been doing some research about chimneys flue systems, or you've had your chimney inspected by a certified technician, there's a good chance that you've heard about flue relining. What is flue relining? Well, the best way to answer that question is a quick lesson on chimney anatomy. All chimneys have flues.
Chimney Caps and Dampers
Report
Chimney Caps and Dampers Having a high quality chimney cap is one of the best things that you can do for the long term life of your chimney. They are so versatile and useful that we recommend that every single chimney flue be covered with a stainless steel or copper chimney cap. Along with regular caps, top mounted damper caps are an excellent replacement or upgrade to your chimney's damper system.
