We are continuing to implement every precaution for cleanliness in our shop. As per statewide regulations masks are required in our shop as well as all public spaces. We have hand sanitizer, we wear masks while working with our customers wipe all common surfaces, including our design counter and front door after each customer interaction.

Houston's Custom Framing & Fine Art was founded in 1995. We came to Ashland with the vision of owning our own frame shop and gallery. Thomas had been a professional framer for 11 years prior to our move and was ready to make our vision a reality. Starting as a frame shop only, we slowly began to add artists to the gallery space whose work we found inspiring.

We regard picture framing as not just a craft, but an art. We believe that good framing design makes all the difference not only in terms of the presentation and perception of your artwork but also for it's overall well being over time. Our goal is to enhance the essential beauty of whatever is being framed and to uphold conservation standards to ensure the longevity of the piece.
Special Projects

Part of what makes the work we do so fulfilling is working with customers on special projects. Every piece we frame is special, and some are extra special. Sometimes it's a sentimental attachment to what's being framed; sometimes it's the uniqueness of what's being framed. Below are some examples of special projects we've worked on over the years.
Custom Mirrors
Report
The beauty of our custom sized mirrors is that we start with your outside size and work in. In other words the frame is cut to fit the space and then is then joined. We then remeasure the inside of the frame and cut the mirror to fit. That makes for a perfect fit. Mirrors can make all of the difference with home/office decor.
Package Pricing

Package pricing is a system of pricing that we've developed that makes basic framing super economical! The pricing pricing is done by the outside size ranges ie. 1114, 1620 etc. This typically equates to approximately 40% off of the normal retail "non package" price. Included in the package price is a basic white archival mat(if appropriate), drymounting (if appropriate), u.v.
