Happy Trails & Wag'n Tails started in 2006 after taking care of a military member's dog for 1.5 months. I enjoyed caring for him so much that when our time together came to an end, I cried my eyes out. His owners knew I much I liked "hanging out" with him but they figured out quickly how much he loved spending time with me.

Your pet is home with familiar smells, sounds, and surroundings which will help keep stress down. Also it allows you to create a personalized plan so your pet(s) can keep their routine while you are out of town. Finally, petsitting can be cheaper than boarding! How? Boarding costs are generally more than the daily fee.

A short time later, we were walking all over the neighborhood. Less Stress: no need to rush around before, during or after work to make sure your dog is able to go potty while you were gone. I would have the commitment to show up each and every visit, keep my wits about me if another dog runs up to us, protect your pet, not let go of the leash, training to handle some medical situations and make every visit fun because I want to be there and enjoy what I do.

We also have a dog named Lucy, and we are very lucky to have found Serena! Our dog is a rescue and an absolute sweetheart, but has serious separation anxiety and doesn't do well when anyone comes into our house when we're not there (even family members who want to take her for a walk). Well, Lucy has taken to her because she not only allows her in the house, but she also lets her put on a harness and take her on a walk, which is a huge feat!
