Brighton Academy is an Independent private school accredited by Northwest Accreditation Commission, a division of AdvancED. We offer Pre-K through high school instruction in a spacious and modern campus a few blocks from downtown Grants Pass located in beautiful Southern Oregon.

Brighton Academy is a private, non-profit, independent school serving Jackson and Josephine Counties in Southern Oregon. Registered as a private school with the state of Oregon and as an Oregon non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, Brighton was accredited in 2002 - 2003 by the Northwest Association of Schools and of Colleges and Universities and annually seeks renewal for full accreditation with Northwest Association of Accredited Schools.

At Brighton Academy, we believe that there is a divine plan for every child. Therefore, education should be a process of self-discovery not a system of external pressures designed to shape rebels and conformist within the status quo. Children should learn from their inner-promptings and natural curiosity not from social indoctrination and the tactics of conditioning.

What kind of curriculum does Brighton Academy use? Sonlight curriculum is the back bone of our Pre-K thru 5th grade program; it is a literature based curriculum that beautifully ties history to literature at every turn. Singapore Math, Handwriting without Tears and Alphaphonics are just a few of the programs Sonlight incorporates.

We have two students that have attended Brighton Academy for three years, one student is in middle school and the other is in high school. We are extremely happy with the education our kids are receiving. All the teachers and staff members sincerely care about the students, and it shows.
