For the rest of October, we will be having all day happy hour specials on Fridays at Riverwood from 11am-9pm! The Inside of the Winery is now open! For the well-being and peace of mind of our Tasting Room Assistants and our guests, all Winery staff will continue to wear face masks. Located in a repurposed elementary school building, Riverwood is a family owned Winery north of Kansas City near historic Weston in scenic Missouri River Bluff wine country. Riverwood is unique in that we make and serve a wide variety of handcrafted wines while also having one of the largest Whiskey selections in northern Missouri.
Vineyards

Our main vineyard is at our winery situated on our farm in the beautiful Missouri River bluffs north of the Snow Creek Ski Area. Although we didn't know it at the time we purchased the farm in 1996, some of those vines were already in the ground. Someone had pulled the trellis posts from the vineyards, presumably to be used for fence posts, and left the trellis wires on the ground.

Hiking and Birding Near the Winery! For those of you who like to hike and watch birds and wildlife, there are some outstanding areas very near the Winery. Missouri has some of the best State Parks and Conservation areas in the country, and several of those are very near the Winery. Kansas, too, has some wonderful opportunities for hiking.

While we always strive to make a big impact on those who visit us, we leave as little impact as we can on our planet. Producing wines, even on a smaller scale, provides abundant opportunities to take responsible action, from how we grow our grapes to maintaining our facilities year-round.
