Part A, hospital insurance, covers services (but not limited to) inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care, hospice services and limited home health care. Part B, medical insurance, covers services and supplies (but not limited to) outpatient care, mental health services, lab tests, doctor visits, durable medical equipment and preventative services.

If you belong to a State Pharmaceutical Assistance Program (SPAP), you can use this as a one-time opportunity to change your Medicare Health Plan outside of your typical enrollment periods. You may also qualify for a Special Enrollment Period. These are special circumstances that can grant you an additional enrollment period throughout the year.
