We have been creating functional art for over 40 years and it is rewarding to know that people enjoy using our pottery every day. We put great care into our designs so each piece both functions well and looks beautiful. All of our pottery is microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. Lukacs Pottery is Mark and Cathy Lukacs.
We have been working together as full-time studio potters since 1978. We met in a pottery class in college where Mark earned a degree in Art, majoring in Ceramics. We create each piece of pottery by hand from start to finish with an attention to detail that can be felt as well as seen. Most pieces start as a lump of clay on a potter's wheel and are transformed into objects of beauty that can be used every day.

Because each piece is made individually, no two are exactly alike. The pots pictured are representative and there will be slight variations in size and color and glaze design. That's the beauty of hand-made. We have many pieces in stock now, but if we don't have the specific item or color you want, we will make it for you.
Dinnerware/Place Settings

Whether you're enjoying a bowl of cereal in the morning or serving a formal dinner in the evening, liven up your normal routine with our contemporary place settings. Each place setting includes a dinner plate, lunch plate, salad bowl, and small mug, or you can order individual pieces as you like. All of our pieces are microwave, dishwasher and oven safe.
