The Learning Resource Center offers an individualized approach to learning giving students the opportunity to reach their maximum potential! We have over 500 highly qualified educational professionals who provide countywide services to more than 3,500 students, ages 5 through adult. This interactive study skills program will help motivate and prepare middle school students to become effective learners in school and beyond.
My child learned so much this summer in Camp READY! Her first weeks in kindergarten have been smooth sailing because of the practice she got in LRC's Camp READY! program. I highly recommend this experience to any parent with a rising or repeating kindergarten student. My daughter attended Camp Ready before kindergarten.

The Learning Resource Center of Polk County, Inc. (LRC) was founded by the Junior League of Greater Lakeland, Inc. in 1975 to help students by providing personalized supplemental education programs and consulting services for parents. At that time it was known as the Learning Disabilities Center and its primary purpose was to serve students with specific learning disabilities and provide support for their parents.

This course provides small classes with highly-trained teachers, problem-solving strategies for analyzing and answering questions, practice taking the ACT, an emphasis on test-taking techniques and strategies specific to the exam that build confidence and reduce test anxiety.SAT Prep provides an efficient and effective 23-hour course designed to help students achieve their best possible score on the exam.

Summer Coding Workshop

Summer Coding Workshop students will gain experience using the MIT App Inventor and an introduction to code with the popular industry programming language Python. Led by educated STEM instructors, participants will discover the fundamentals of code and use their imagination in game-based learning.
