The Long-Term Care System is a complicated ecosystem of care providers, care facilities, Medicare, Medicaid, Long term care insurance, Doctor's appointments, nutrition, social interaction, mental health, and legal issues. Estate Planning
Report
Estate planning isn't about how much money you have, it's about protecting what you have for you, during your lifetime, and for those you love after you're gone. It ensures what you have gets to the people you love, the way you want when you want. If you were to die today, are you comfortable and sure that everything will be taken care of the way you wanted?
Probate & Estate Administration
Report
If the estate is too large to qualify for simplified probate, you'll need to conduct a formal probate proceeding. This is a court-supervised process and is considered a "cleansing of the assets" before they can be distributed to the beneficiaries. This begins when the executor named in the will files the will with the Register of Wills in the county in which the deceased person lived.
