Our Story
Report
Whiskey Run Creek Vineyard & Winery opened in Fall of 2002 under the guidance and direction of Robert (Bob) Curttright. When Bob was searching for the ideal location to open a winery, he learned of a parcel of land on the western edge of Brownville that was once home to one of the first breweries in the state of Nebraska and determined this was the ideal location for the winery.
About Our Wines
Report
At Whiskey Run Creek we have a variety of wines from dry to sweet for sampling and purchase to hopefully allow everyone to find their ideal wine. We offer wine tastings for $5 which will allow you to sample up to five (5) of our wines. Once you have found that ideal wine for you, please feel free to stay and relax while enjoying a glass of wine on the deck or upstairs in the loft of the barn if the weather happens to not be cooperating.
Red Wines
Report
Named after the year Brownville was established, this blend of DeChaunac, Foch & St. Croix produces a complex medium bodied wine with an earthy aroma of crushed raspberries, currants, nutmeg and cinnamon. A French-American hybrid developed in 1860, the DeChaunac grape is most extensively planted in the New York Finger Lakes Region.
White Wines
Report
Originally used solely in our blends, we introduced this wine in 2014 as our driest white wine. It has a flavor that is crisp and tart with notes of grapefruit that come across your palate. The Edelweiss grapes was developed by Elmer Swenson and the University of Minnesota. Its' cold hardiness makes it a popular grape for Nebraska grape growers.
Fruit Wines & More
Report
This delightful blend of 90% apple and 10% raspberry makes a truly wonderful warm-weather sipping wine that is also delightfully paired with desserts. Pyment means wine made from grapes and honey. In between sweet and tart, this wine starts with a soft mint flavor and finishes with a smooth taste of honey.
