Ballet Classes
Our ballet program develops foundational technique through progressive training in posture, turnout, and classical movements. Certified instructors use Progressing Ballet Technique to enhance strength and artistry for ages 5+ in recreational and pre-professional tracks.
Pointe Training
Pre-pointe and pointe classes focus on proper alignment, ankle strength, and injury prevention. Students progress through levels with instructor approval, combining technical drills with artistic expression in a safe, supervised environment.
AcroDance
Acrobatic Arts-certified program integrating dance with tumbling skills. Students learn flexibility, balance, and aerial techniques while maintaining dance quality, with levels from beginner cartwheels to advanced aerial tricks.
Competitive Dance
Company members attend 4-6 annual competitions with choreography in multiple genres. Training includes conventions, team-building exercises, and mandatory summer enrollment to maintain technical proficiency and group cohesion.

Questions
What dance styles do you offer?
We teach ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, acro dance, and pilates for ages 5+. Specialized boys-only classes available in hip hop and tap.
Are there performance opportunities?
Yes! Annual June showcases at Peotone High School Auditorium plus 4-6 competitions yearly for company members with digital download access.
Do you have flexible payment options?
Tuition includes costume and performance fees. We offer family discounts (10%+), multi-class savings (10-15%), and installment plans with online payments.
How do class placements work?
Students receive free trial evaluations. Placement reviews occur annually through our parent portal, with instructor recommendations for appropriate level progression.
Is summer enrollment required?
Summer classes are mandatory for company members. We offer 8-week summer programs with discounts for unlimited class packages across all skill levels.
What qualifications do instructors have?

It’s been 3 years since my daughter joined Main Street Dance Academy. She is a 12 year dancer. She has flourished so much as a dancer and is very committed to the studio, her dance friends, teachers, and staff. She has the opportunity to learn and excel in all the genres of dance. We have developed strong bonds and relationships with Main Street… Dance Academy and staff. The encouragement and support is simply amazing. The lessons learned from being on the competition team as a committed dancer throughout the years will serve her well in whatever she decides to pursue in the future

My daughter has danced with and taken classes with the owners for over 10 years and has nothing but positive things to say about her experiences. Great facility and location with a wide variety of courses offered. Another great family-run small town business.
