I believe that music instruction should be enjoyable, built on a solid technical foundation, inspire creativity, and match each individual's goals. In addition to traditional teaching methods, I teach each student the basics of improvisation through an original method that I call "Speaking Music at the Piano."

I currently sit on the faculty of Grossmont College in San Diego, and have previously taught at San Diego area colleges Southwestern College, Cuyamaca College, and Mesa College. As a member of the Music Teachers' Association of California, previously served in various board positions, including first vice-president and bach festival chair.
