At Cold Nose Kennels, our focus is on Dog Boarding, Dog Training, Dog Behavior Modification, Rescue & Sanctuary. Our facility is located just eight miles east of downtown Carson City, NV. We are 45 minutes door-to-door from Reno-Tahoe International Airport. We live at the facility, and we have access to veterinarians 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

Rescue & Sanctuary

Here at Cold Nose Kennels we have been doing Rescue work for a number of years. We are registered with the State of Nevada and we are a not for profit IRS 501(c)(3). We have dedicated ourselves to taking dogs who have difficult behavior issues from various Rescue Groups, Local Shelters, Owner Surrenders, as well as Court Ordered Surrenders.

If so, try this easy correction method. Place the dog in the sit/stay position with a training leash in front of an outside door. Have a family member or friend either ring the door bell or knock. When your dog makes a move towards the door, gently correct by making a quick snapping motion with the leash and repeating the stay command.
