We use a process called bonding. All of our marks are a rich black mark regardless of metal type. We have test data that shows that our marks have stood up to 70% hydrochloric acid, 500 hrs of salt spray, in a furnace for 3 min @ 1500 degrees and submerged in some toxic proteins for over a year. Mark is good but the metal took a hit.
