They started Basic Skills with the commitment to provide professional support and encouragement to those in the home, private, and public school community.

Testimonials

Truly love the help that we have received from the folks at Basic Skills. We have used most of their services throughout our 12 year homeschooling journey. Our daughter does better with private testing. Jenny has been wonderful with her for testing. We did their Supplemental Friday class program in the beginning of our homeschool, and later their Diploma Program and some high school classes.
Diploma Program
Report
Homeschooling through the middle and high school years can often feel like a daunting task. Our diploma program is here to support you as you navigate your student's path to graduation. Founded in 1994, New Covenant Christian Academy's Diploma Program provides academic support for homeschoolers in the seventh through twelfth grades.
Testing
Report
Basic Skills administers the California Achievement Test (CAT)/TerraNova 2 and TerraNova 3 year-round in both group and private settings. Both tests are nationally normed and evaluate three content areas: reading, language, and math. Both in-person and remote testing options are available to interested families.
Curt’s Journey with Amyloidosis
Report
I scribbled what he said on a piece of paper so I could Google the word later that evening. He told me to plan on keeping our appointment which was scheduled for the following day so we could discuss the next step. Amyloidosis is rare. It strikes one person in one hundred thousand according to some statistics I've read.
