Peoria Ballet is a non-profit company celebrating over fifty-five years of providing the finest in dance performance and dance education to Central Illinois. Well known for its annual production of The Nutcracker, the performance features live orchestral music, professional guest artists dancing the roles of Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier, and more than 100 of the Academy's own dancers.
Each season also features a full-length theater production in the spring. The Peoria Ballet also collaborates with other arts and non-profit organizations in an effort to ensure the art of dance continues to be strong and vibrant in the community. Peoria Ballet is housed in a 14,000 square foot facility with four modern studios, a costume shop, and extensive prop storage.

Classes are offered for children beginning at age 3, up to adults of all ages. Whether you or your child is interested in pre-professional training for a future career in dancing or wish to dance simply for the enjoyment and physical benefits, we have the professional staff to teach and train you. We offer classes in ballet, contemporary, jazz, modern, and tap.

Pre-sale is now open for our Nutcracker 2020 digital performance of Vimeo. Kick off the season with Central Illinois' favorite holiday tradition - presented this year for all to enjoy safely at home. This program is partially supported by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency through federal funds provided by the National Endowment for the Arts.
