The Medina County Solid Waste District serves incorporated and unincorporated areas of Medina County, with the exception of the City of Rittman and the Village of Creston, with solutions for solid waste. Proof of residency is required to use our facility and services. We are one of 52 solid waste districts created by the Ohio General Assembly in 1989.

These districts were established with the mission of reducing reliance on landfills. Acting upon that mission, the Medina County Solid Waste District provides consumers recycling opportunities around Medina County at our single stream recycling drop off-locations and on our campus in Seville.
Services
Recycling
Report
Single Stream Recycling is a system in which all recyclables (paper, plastics, metals, etc.) are collected and handled together, instead of being collected and handled separately. Single stream processing systems are designed to handle commingled recyclable materials, with recyclables separated for reuse at a materials recovery facility.
Yard Waste
Report
The Medina County Solid Waste District and local yard waste recycling companies provide a place for homeowners, businesses and landscapers to drop-off their grass clippings, leaves, tree limbs, and other yard trimmings. The yard waste is recycled locally and used to create mulches, soils and composts that are for sale throughout Medina County.
