Founded with a commitment to artistic excellence and community engagement, Greensboro Ballet has become a cornerstone of dance education and performance in North Carolina. Our organization operates two major production seasons annually, including the beloved holiday tradition The Nutcracker and the spring Storybook Tales series, while maintaining a robust school that serves students aged 3 through adulthood. With a faculty of experienced professionals and guest artists from renowned institutions, we provide comprehensive training in classical ballet, contemporary dance, and related disciplines.

Our inclusive approach welcomes all skill levels and backgrounds, offering tailored programs from creative movement for young children to advanced pre-professional training. Through community outreach initiatives and scholarship programs, we strive to make dance accessible to diverse populations across Greensboro and the broader Piedmont Triad region. I really don't know why anyone goes any were else! I have been dancing her since I was 4 so about 8 years now. The teachers are GREAT and they really train the students in the classical technique which is wonderful for serious dancers because it gives a strong foundation. But even if your child does not want to do this really seriously then GB is still a great choose because we all still know how to have fun!You also form very strong and often life long friendships with some of the students here for example ALL my friends are from ballet and even if some of them just decided they didn't want to

If you have a serious dancer in your family, and you want to make sure he or she has the best formal training in ballet, you will not find a better place. Maryhelen Mayfield and her staff are professional, passionate and disciplined, but make being the best fun and rewarding.

The best dance school in town. Friendly atmosphere, realistic expectations for students and families, professional. This is our third year with the school and we love everything it has to offer our children.
