Ballet Classes
Our ballet program develops proper technique from creative movement for ages 2-4 through advanced pointe work. Classes focus on barre technique, terminology, and flexibility while emphasizing proper body alignment and injury prevention through our specialized dance floor system.
Competition Team
This elite program offers 3-4 annual competitions with expert feedback to develop well-rounded dancers. Designed for select students seeking additional performance experiences, the team focuses on growth, technical refinement, and artistic expression in multiple dance styles.
Lyrical Dance
Combining ballet and jazz elements, our lyrical classes require prior dance experience. Instructors focus on emotional storytelling through movement, emphasizing fluid transitions, dynamic control, and artistic interpretation for junior and senior level students.
Pre-Pointe/Pointe
This intensive program builds necessary strength and technique for pointe work. Students must complete one year of pre-pointe training with possible additional requirements determined by instructors to ensure proper muscle development and injury prevention.
Creative Movement
Designed for ages 2-4, this introductory class develops basic ballet skills in a structured environment. Students learn fundamental steps while building social skills through movement games and creative play in a supportive setting.

Paula has taught dance for 16 years and owned the studio for 9 years. A lifelong dancer since age 6, she danced at University of Mississippi and specializes in ballet and pointe instruction while emphasizing character development.
Emily Frederick-Conner
Instructor
Emily brings 23 years of dance experience and 5 years teaching expertise. A Shorter University Musical Theatre graduate, she teaches ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical while sharing her passion for dance education with students.
Baylee Davenport
Instructor
Baylee danced at Second Steps for 9 years before becoming an instructor. Currently working as a nurse while pursuing a Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner, she teaches tap and ballet classes with enthusiasm for dance education.
