Aerial Silks
Aerial Silks involves climbing and performing aerial poses on suspended fabric. This discipline builds upper body strength, core stability, and artistic expression through dynamic movement sequences. Students learn proper wrapping techniques and safety protocols while developing performance skills.
Acrobatic Arts
Our Acrobatic Arts program combines traditional gymnastics with partner acrobatics and floor-based movement. Classes focus on building foundational skills like handstands, cartwheels, and tumbling sequences while emphasizing body awareness and spatial orientation for safe progression.
Dance Classes
Dance instruction integrates hip-hop, contemporary, and choreographed routines with aerial elements. Students develop rhythm, coordination, and performance quality while connecting movement patterns to musical phrasing in a supportive creative environment.
Birthday Parties
Two-hour aerial-themed birthday parties include instructor-led activities on chosen apparatus, warm-up sessions, and dedicated celebration space. Parties accommodate up to 12 participants with equipment setup and safety supervision included in the rental package.
Mentorship Program
Exceptional students aged 14+ receive assistant coaching training through our mentorship program. Participants develop teaching skills, safety protocols, and leadership abilities while supporting younger students in a structured learning environment that emphasizes responsibility and community building.

Teal Belz founded Golden Heart Performing Arts in 2015 to combine her passion for aerial arts and community development. With certifications from the American Circus Alliance and decades of performance experience, she leads curriculum development and artistic direction while mentoring emerging talent.

My wife and I dropped into a beginner aerial silks class while visiting Fairbanks and loved it! Lindsey was the bomb. She taught the class with aplomb for a wide range of ages and athletic levels. With no aerials experience, we felt welcome and supported through each technique. In the one-hour class, we did a quick warm-up and learned two climbs, a basic upside-down position, and a hands-free hanging position. Very cool. If we were in Fairbanks longer, we would have gone back for another class. Will definitely return the next time we're in town. And we'll get some practice in Minneapolis, where

My daughter had the best experience here Teal and all of the other coaches were kind during the learning process, it was her first time ever doing movement like this! She quickly learned aerial silks and sling over 3 semesters and was able to perform multiple times. She even put together multiple choreographed pieces to her favorite songs. As a pre-teen, music is extremely important to my daughter these days. Golden Heart Performing Arts is a healthy outlet for youth in our community to express themselves. This was the best way for J to exercise during a long dark winter. What I love

I took the intro class and attended the winter soiree recently. Once you download the app, it is easy to find the class schedule and sign up. The intro class provided a variety of moves and is taught in a way that is accessible for all skill levels. I did not know about aerial silks before coming to Fairbanks- it is such a fun sport/art! I am excited to take more classes. Unlike dance classes- you don't have to be coordinated to try aerial silks, just adventurous to try it out. The soiree was amazing to watch with a mix of incredible feats and performances- we will definitely be watching out for

The semester I spent on silks with the instructor from Golden Heart was fun and inspiring. Lots of care for safety and tailoring the content to each student's ability. It is impossible to walk out of class without a positive attitude.
