Swim Shine Aquatics

I have taught swimming in California, Colorado and Texas for over 25 years. I enjoy teaching Infant Aquatics, including all four strokes with high detail and efficiency. Also, I specialize in teaching children and adults with special needs, hearing impaired, autism and down syndrome. As a mom of 5 children, we all enjoy lake kayaking, paddle boarding, jet skiing and swimming, I am honored to now be part of the Infant Aquatics team!

This 6-week program teaches toddlers and younger children the swim-float-swim sequence. Children will learn to swim a short distance, to roll onto their back to float and rest whenever they need to breathe, and to flip back onto their tummy. The Swim Float Swim sequence serves as the foundation for future stroke development and prepares our students to advance into our Fast Track lessons.

Donna's years of experience and loving personality towards kids is a hard combination to find in an swim instructor. Since our son's lessons with Donna, he enjoys swimming more than ever and knows how to stay safe around a pool while having fun. We have been blessed as a family knowing our 2 1/2 year old has been taught the Swim float Swim.

The ability of a baby to float and breathe, regardless of the water's depth, for an indefinite period of time. The most essential survival swimming skill we will teach your child is to roll from a face-down position in the water to a face-up independent back float. Infants and toddlers cannot raise their heads to take a breath.
