She holds a PhD in Eastern Medicine (DAOM) from Five Branches University, both BS and MS degrees in Chemistry and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and she is Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac). For over a decade, Dr. Gong worked as a Senior Scientist at several big pharmaceutical companies; but she always felt there was something missing in her work.
