RED grouper season is open, providing clients with some good eating fillets. Amberjacks are available for great tug-o-war action. After a quick photo well let them swim away, to fight another day. Their season is temporarily closed until May. Hog snapper season is open for the clients wanting a tasty dinner during our shorter trips.

A 5 to 6 hour trip is perfect length if this delectable snapper is on your bucket list. Dave and his mate run a first class operation on the Jawstoo! Very knowledgeable, friendly and determined. I've been out with them multiple trips and not only did we fill the fish box each time, we had a blast doing it!

Captain’s Report
Report
Red grouper fishing is whats been on the menu for this first half of this month. For the next month we will have to get creative as to what fish to keep for clients wanting a fish dinner. Mid October when the water temps cool down, well start to see migrations of gag grouper moving closer to shore.

The fall migration of smoker king mackerel gets kicked off, awarding anglers with some of the best kingfishing in the world. Thirty to forty pounders are common during these fall months, with the action endless. Grouper migrate closer to shore, allowing clients to experience the best of both worlds: the 30mph run of a smoker king, combined with a back breaking tug from a tasty grouper!
