The tour starts at the Leeds Eco Trail, so be sure to start listening as soon as you leave the parking lot and start driving past the Visitors' Center on your left. The Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge is open 7 days a week from sunrise to sunset. The Wildlife Drive, trails, and boardwalk are all open to visitors.

These are located in the Galloway Township section of the Refuge. Other trails and viewing platforms are also located in other parts of the Refuge. The Visitor Information Center is open for visitors. There are interactive displays are in the Gallery and a film introduction to the Refuge is available.

Volunteering for the Friends of Edwin B. Forsythe is a rewarding activity that helps the Refuge fulfill its mission of conserving, protecting and enhancing America's fish, wildlife and plants and their habitats. Volunteers perform a wide variety of tasks. Greeting visitors, answering questions, and selling merchanside and refuge passes at our gift shop in the Visitors Information Center.

The Friends of Forsythe NWR is an independent, non-profit organization established in 1998. Its purpose is to provide support and services to the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. And for the development of other wildlife-oriented experiences that do not interfere with the primary mission of the Refuge.

Environmental Education at the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge is a multi-faceted program dedicated to explaining the natural environment. The program is implemented by volunteers. Both on-site and off-site activities are available. Urban Birds is a series of lessons that introduce urban students, who are often disconnected from the environment, to birds that live in their neighborhoods.
