Are you struggling to stay in a frustrating relationship? Do you feel lonely even though you have a partner? Have you or your partner been considering separation or divorce? I have experience and training working with a wide range of problems including communication, sexuality, betrayal, grief, divorce, loss, anger and anxiety disability.

I love to help couples and families rediscover their joy in being together. I can help people better understand and express their emotions, and learn to better control their reactions in stressful relationships. The therapy relationship can help individuals and couples to heal old wounds. In addition to training and licensure in Marriage and Family therapy, I have training and certification in sex therapy.

It's easy to use from most laptops, tablets, or smartphones, and provides a safe way for us to see one another's faces as we talk. These sessions are secure and HIPAA-compliant. At this time of crisis, most insurance plans are covering this type of service. If you are scheduled for a couple or family session, you may use separate devices from different locations, if needed.

I accept many health insurance plans including Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Tricare, New Mexico Health Connections, and Presbyterian. Also, I accept several forms of Medicaid. Unfortunately I cannot accept Blue Cross Blue Shield (neither commercial nor Medicaid plans), nor can I accept Medicare.
Couples on the Brink

If you or your spouse are considering divorce but are not completely sure that's the best path, you are in a tough spot. And Discernment Counseling is designed for you. It's a chance to slowdown, take a breath, and look at your options for your marriage.

Discernment Counseling is a new way of helping couples where one person is "leaning out" of the relationship, and not sure that regular marriage counseling would help--and the other is "leaning in", that is, interested in rebuilding the marriage. The counselor will help you decide whether to try to restore your marriage to health, move toward divorce, or take a time out and decide later.
