Do not give anything by mouth for 3-4 hours after the last time patient vomited. Then only give small sips of clear liquids (7-up, Sprite, Ginger ale, pedialyte or watered down Gatorade). Remember smaller volumes a little more often stays down longer than larger volumes less often. No fruit or fruit juices (no orange juice, sunny delight, apple juice, grape juice, or any other fruit juice) for a minimum of 72 hours.
