The PERFECT wedding venue! We had the most amazing experience at the Riverhouse and couldn't be happier! From the first time we stepped into the venue, we knew it was the place for us. From the decor, to the set up, the view off the back deck, the bridal suite, grooms room and most importantly 1 wedding at a time! It was everything we had wanted and so much more! The communication throughout the entire process was smooth and very responsive. Hattie and Kelley were amazing to work with and got back to me within 1 day. And then COVID hit and we were the very first wedding to be canceled. I mean

What a amazing venue. It was a beautiful place for a Connecticut Wedding. I truly hope we are invited to another function here. Every aspect of The River House is simply exquisite. The food was amazing, the service even better, but nothing beats the ambiance of this place. And, the water views are spectacular.

If they are willing to neglect past customers and folks that attend your wedding like this I'm not confident you can trust them to take care of you, and all your needs on your biggest day. Communication and responsiveness has been poor. I like to give folks the benefit of the doubt however, it has now been 6+ weeks of calling regarding a left behind jacket after a wedding. I was told three days after the wedding they had the jacket. I asked if they could email me details for possible shipping as I was with a client. No email received

When my husband and I first toured the Riverhouse, the second we walked into the parking lot we both looked at each other and said "I want to get married here". Hattie was so friendly, and the idea that we would be the only wedding that evening made the experience much more personable. When the wedding planning began, Hattie and Kelley were so accommodating. They answered all of my questions, replied to all of my emails quickly, and made the planning very organized. There was a timeline for everything, so I always knew what the next steps were.
