Promise Ranch Therapeutic Riding
Promise Ranch Therapies & Recreation has found a new home that offers solace and safety for all our clients, volunteers, staff and incredible animals - large and small, who are a part of our PRTR community. How rewarding it will be for the PRTR community to have pride in ownership of our very own ranch - A home where we all belong!

Founded in 2009, Promise Ranch is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that provides Equine-Assisted Services for children and adults with developmental, physical, social or emotional healing needs. In addition to Adaptive Riding, Horse-Mounted Therapies and Horsemanship for Veterans -we provide Ranch-based Occupational, Speech and Mental Health Therapies.

Working with children and young adults with ASD, I/DD, and other neurodiversities, our staff facilitate individual therapies and groups in social skills, life/work/recreation skills, art therapy, sibling and parent groups. Licensed Therapists with Equine Certifications are also a huge part of PRTR's Adaptive Riding and Hippotherapy Programs.
Meet Our Board
Report
Promise Ranch Therapies & Recreation is governed by a Board of Directors representing a cross-section of the community, including supporters, participants, and professionals. Suzanne was previously the Adaptive Riding Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator before moving into her current role. That hands-on experience guides and informs decision making at the board level.
Meet Our Horses
Report
Poncho is a Paint horse who moved all the way from Florida. Sweet and steady Poncho is a 14-year-old quarter horse who came to us from a therapeutic riding program in Florida where he also competed in Special Olympics in Western pleasure classes. He was having trouble with the heat and humidity in Florida because of a condition called "heaves", which is similar to asthma in humans.
