Using the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, we use Acupuncture & Herbs to help patients reduce symptoms as simply and naturally as possible in our downtown Chattanooga treatment space. With the tools of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Jes Dwyer, LAc, can affect positive change in the body without the use of pharmaceuticals or surgery.
These tools and techniques allow us to stimulate and support the body's own natural healing processes to relieve chronic symptoms, speed up recovery, and increase the overall quality of life. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practices include Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, and Adjunctive Therapies such as Cupping, Tui Na, Gua Sha, etc.

At Acu Chatt, we strive to offer the best possible care, using Traditional Chinese Medical practices, such as acupuncture, herbs, lifestyle, etc. to help our patients reach their optimum health. Initial visits include an in-depth consultation that allows the practitioner to get a full grasp of the patient's present condition.
Insurance
Report
If you have coverage, we are happy to provide you with something called a Super Bill which you can send in to your insurance company to be reimbursed for any potential coverage your plan has! It is actually really easy. The best way to find out about your coverage is to Verify Your Insurance by calling the number on the back of your insurance card.
Preparing for Your 1st Visit
Report
While not all acupuncturists practice exactly the same, generally you are going to keep the following in mind. First, if you were given the New Patient Paperwork, be sure to fill it out to the best of your ability. Typically, this will include your contact information, chief complaint, list of current medications, and your medical history.
After Treatment
Report
1. Follow the treatment plan you discussed with your Acupuncturist (even if it contradicts the rest of this article). 2. No unnecessary exercise for the rest of the day. Let your body focus on healing. 3. Drink lots of water (just like after a massage, things are moving). IMPORTANT: Any medications you are taking should not be reduced / discontinued without first consulting the prescribing physician and the Acu Chatt practitioner.
