Since 1969, Kokokahi Gymnastics has been Hawaii's premier gymnastics training facility. Founded as a community-driven program through the YWCA, we evolved into a dedicated non-profit organization in 1978 with a mission to develop athletes' physical strength and mental discipline. Our experienced coaching team combines decades of expertise to help students build self-confidence, self-esteem, and personal character through gymnastics. We maintain a safe environment that nurtures physically, mentally, and socially strong individuals while offering diverse programs for ages 12 months through adulthood.With our legacy of excellence since 1969 and state-of-the-art facility established in 1983, we provide recreational classes, competitive teams (Levels 3-10 and Xcel divisions), and special programs like birthday parties and summer camps. Our holistic approach emphasizes both technical skill development and life lessons that extend beyond the gym. Recreational Gymnastics
Structured gymnastics instruction for children 12 months through teens. Program develops fundamental skills, strength, and confidence through age-appropriate activities. Toddlers' classes introduce basic motor skills while preschool programs focus on coordination. School-age offerings include progressive skill development on all four apparatuses with certified instructors.
Competitive Teams
USAG-sanctioned competitive programs for Levels 3-10 and Xcel divisions. Professional coaching develops advanced skills including tumbling, vault, bars, and beam routines. Xcel program offers flexible skill requirements while JO program follows traditional competitive pathways. Travel schedules and meet participation included for advanced teams.
Adult Gymnastics
Co-ed gymnastics training for adults of all skill levels. Sessions include skill development, conditioning, and open gym options. Experienced coaches guide participants through fundamental moves and advanced techniques. Program emphasizes fitness, flexibility, and fun in a supportive community environment.

I've been to a handful of gyms through the years and this gym has a pretty amazing bunch of coaches, leaders and management. They've had their struggles in some past years but I can tell you, it's better than ever right now with a bright future ahead. My daughter loves it there. Highly recommended!!

In September 2020, I became the new Optional Team Head Coach at Kokokahi, and could not be more thrilled! I moved all the way from Austin, Texas to take this position in Kaneohe, Hawaii, for a couple reasons:
1. The staff at Kokokahi is wonderful. Even during my first visit to the gym, every coach and employee made me feel welcomed and appreciated, and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. The staff has an incredible dynamic that is fun, respectful, communicative, and positive. It makes for a stellar work environment.
2. The families and gymnasts at Kokokahi are something special

My daughter and son loves going to gymnastics here. The coaches are professional and patient with my child. All COVID precautions are taken and I feel safe as a parent bringing my child here. All kids wear their masks, water bottles are sanitized, temperatures are checked, and they wash their hands before and after every practice. It's great to have them burn their energy and have fun the whole time. Definitely recommend!

I bring my niece here every week to rec classes and i love the atmosphere and the friendliness of the coaches and staff. My niece is so excited to go every week and is filled with so much joy and positive energy. Hughly recommended!!
