Danzig MMA
We founded this gym to follow our dream of sharing the knowledge we've gained through our many years of training and competition. Our passion is coaching and teaching. Watching our students achieve their full potential is what drives us. We are honored to call Central Oregon home and to be a part of the community here.

Our main goal with Danzig MMA is to help each student accomplish more than they thought possible of themselves and create a community of like-minded people who learn together, work hard, become empowered, and have incredible fun while doing it.

In addition to our full-time instructors (Mac and Angela Danzig) we are very proud to introduce our team of assistant instructors:. Ian has been training in the martial arts for over 20 years, with a background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and American Wrestling. Before joining Danzig MMA, he trained all over the country and has worked with such names as Royce Gracie, Carlos Machado and Tim Kennedy, among others.
Classes

At Danzig MMA, we offer adult classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Western Boxing and MMA, as well as Strength & Conditioning classes. Our Women's MMA Program features two classes a week that cover the grappling arts and striking arts, respectively. Please have a look at our schedule page for a detailed look at when each class is offered.
Grappling
Report
Our grappling program is a non-striking program that contains two main disciplines: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Wrestling. Just like all classes at Danzig MMA, both grappling disciplines are taught with the functionality of an MMA mindset at all times. This means that you will learn submission holds, takedowns and their defense from a realistic perspective, not merely from the sporting standpoint.
Striking

Most classes consist of footwork drills and proper punching technique as a warmup, then progress to partner drills on punch-mitts, heavy bag drills, and during certain classes, optional sparring will be available. Students will learn proper punching technique, power, movement and the ability to evade punches with many different defensive techniques.
Conditioning

Our strength and conditioning program features all of the exercises and routines to help you achieve your highest level of overall fitness.

Years of experience working as professional athletes with some of the best conditioning coaches on the planet have given us the first-hand education and insight needed to develop a program that focuses on functional full-body exercises that will increase strength, stamina, coordination and flexibility, while remaining safe and relatively low-impact.
