And it continues today with three generations, Carl, his grandson Jeffrey and daughter Patti, proudly carrying on the tradition.
He began his shoe career as a stock boy at age 12 at Shapiro Shoes in Camden, and eventually selling shoes at Ricky's Shoes in Haddonfield, New Jersey. With a desire for all his customers to have shoes that fit comfortably, Carl quickly earned a reputation for quality shoes and superior customer service.

When Carl Barone opened his shoe store on Main Street in the historic community of Moorestown in 1958, he did so with a philosophy that has remained unchanged: he wanted to ensure that all his customers had shoes that actually fit. He skillfully repairs mens, womens, and childrens footwear-even prescription and custom made shoes-and returns them looking like new.
