Han graduated from Inha University with a Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering. After immigrating to America, he quickly became fascinated with the intricate art of handcrafting teeth under the mentorship of various lab technicians.
Shortly after honing his skills in fixed restorations and ceramics with his wife, Meea, he founded Art Dental Lab in the basement of his own home in 1990, and earned his Certified Dental Technician designation in 1996.Over 25 years later, Art Dental Lab has advanced exponentially to a spacious-state-of-the-art facility with a team of 20 skilled technicians.

The NAT (Natural Wax Technique), NFR (Natural Functional Reconstruction), NFP (Natural Functional Prosthesis) concept uses an occlusal compass and a dental coordinate system to capture natural excursions. Contact points, space maintenance, and more are replicated on a segmental basis to result in beautiful, anatomically correct and functional prosthesis.

While countless labs attempt to operate under poor, cramped conditions, Art Dental Lab runs efficiently in a beautiful, 4000 square foot property. Each of our technicians enjoy individual benches equipped with their own microscopes and other accessories they require for their specialization.

Full Zirconia has continuously improved in translucency since its debut in 2011. Today, it is made as zirconia blocks with a half translucent occlusal surface and layers of less translucency towards the gingival margin. This is our top recommendation for posterior restorations or bridges.
Pros: Low cost, virtually chip proof (great for bruxers!), glazed to smooth surface to resist plaque accumulation, used for all teeth, more conservative prep (1 mm chamfer prep compared to the 1.5 mm required for PFMs).Cons: The monolithic color is helpful for matching shades, but less ideal for creating natural looking anteriors, for which we would recommend ZirconiArt (Porcelain Fused to Zirconia).
