We opened in 2000 with a state of the art facility. Designed specifically for your dogs comfort and safety. Infrared heat warms old bones in the winter and air conditioning cools during the 4 weeks we call summer. It's a dream come true. After serving in the US Army as a military police dog trainer and then as a deputy sheriff k-9 officer, I am fortunate to be able to pursue a lifes dream, taking care of and training dogs.

If you cannot get into your veternarian clinic prior to boarding and the only vaccine that you need is Bordatella, please call the kennel at 906-482-8468 or e-mail tom@topdogkennels.biz. Have peace of mind while you are away knowing that your dog is closely monitored by our security cameras 24 hours a day, inside and outside of the kennel and surrounding areas.

All check-ins are by appointment only. If you are going to be late for any reason, please call or text Tina at 906-281-0617 or Tom at 906-370-8468. The kennel is open for check-ins Mon-Sat between the hours of 9am-10am or 5pm-6pm and Sunday between noon-1pm or 5pm-6pm. Under special circumstances, an earlier time may be scheduled for a fee of $10.

Our group dog class is a time for you to create a bond with your dog that will last a lifetime. NOTE: Training time is very limited and is, therefore, only being offered to current kennel customers. Training Evaluations - $50 flat fee. Trainer, Tom Katalin, will observe and perform a hands on evaluation of your dog's training needs.

Limit your dog to one favorite chew toy. Multiple toys confuse a young puppy as to what they are allowed to chew. If your dog chews on something it shouldn't, take the item away and give a verbal correction "No, bad dog" Wait about a minute and give the authorized chew toy. Interact with your dog when playing with the desired chew toy, make playing with the authorized chew toy something fun and rewarding.
