The Riverwood Staff and Board
Report
The Riverwood family is made up of many talented individuals, beginning with our exceptional volunteers, parents, board of directors, and of course our amazing stable of horses. All of these people and animals draw inspiration, guidance and most of all leadership from our amazing staff. Professional experience working with foster care families and children/adolescents with severe mental/emotional traumas and behavioral disorders.
Our Horses
Report
At Riverwood, we treasure our horses; they give us their friendship, love and dedication every day, and for that we are always thankful. Due to the costs associated with equine care, we hope to have a minimum of two or three sponsors per horse. If you, your family, business, or any group or organization would like to sponsor one of our amazing therapy horses, please contact us for details.
Riverwood Stories
Report
Eric Holthusen's Riverwood journey began at the age of seven. Diagnosed with "pervasive developmental disorder, " a therapist at Eric's school recommended therapeutic horseback riding. Now 26 years old, Eric's enthusiasm is contagious as he prepares for each lesson. His father, Greg, tells us a little more about Eric's Riverwood story.
