Since 2003 the Champaign School of Music has helped thousands of beginning - advanced students of all ages to play the music they love. We offer music lessons on all the most popular instruments: piano, guitar, voice, drums, violin, ukulele as well as a phenomenal Early Childhood Program called Music Together (R) and exciting performing classes for future pop stars and rockers.

Students come from all over Champaign County including: Champaign, Urbana, Savoy, Mahomet, Monticello, Rantoul, Tuscola, Bloomington, and Charleston to take lessons with us. We are the only school in Champaign, IL that offers all of these popular instruments: Piano, Electric & Acoustic Guitar, Voice, Keyboard, Bass, Drum set, Violin, Ukulele and Percussion!

That question is often asked by prospective students. Our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals. We do not treat every student the same in terms of what and how we teach. A seven year old having their first guitar lesson will have very different needs than a fifty seven year old taking up piano for the 2nd time after having had lessons as a child.

My 4 year old is always singing and moving. I want to encourage that. I always dreamed of playing the piano. I didn't have the opportunity before. I took lessons for a couple years and then stopped. I've always regretted that. Taking piano lessons should be a great experience. If you are brand new to piano lessons you are at the right place.

If you are looking for Guitar Lessons you are at the right place. We have guitar lessons for children, teenagers and adults. We teach all levels. Beginners are welcome! Students have many different options. Our Guitar program is a fun way for you to learn the world's most popular instrument. Guitar lessons are customized for each individual student and students are encouraged to bring in music that they would like to play.

Voice

We know that anyone can learn to sing. All you need is the desire to learn and great teacher who understands and supports your needs and goals. We have voice lessons for children, teenagers and adults and teach all levels. Beginners are welcome! Don't even think about being nervous, just go for it.

Voice & Piano Combo

The Champaign School of Music offers a unique combination of voice and piano in a private lesson format. Singing and accompanying yourself on the piano is so much fun and this combination works! Students are motivated and happy because they are playing their favorite songs. Parents are happy because their children like to practice.
